NOMINATION PROCEDURE

The Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Walk of the Stars, which includes seven categories: Humanitarian, Entertainment, Civic/Pioneer, Architect/Artist/Designer, Athlete, Military, and Literary.

Nominees must meet the approved criteria for the selected category. Self-nominations are not accepted; however, anyone other than the nominee may submit a nomination. To obtain the nomination form, please visit walkofthestars.com.

Completed nomination forms may be submitted by email to walkofthestars@pschamber.org or mailed to:

Nominees must have:

• At least five years of professional achievement in their respective field
• Made significant contributions to the Palm Springs community
• A commitment to attend the dedication ceremony if selected

All nominations must include:

• A fully completed nomination form, including all required information and supporting materials
• One selected nomination category
• A photo of the nominee
• A summary of no more than five pages, entered directly into the nomination form or uploaded separately, describing the nominee’s biography, qualifications, contributions to the Palm Springs community, and how they meet the approved criteria for the selected category

Nomination forms should be completed and submitted digitally whenever possible. Handwritten submissions are discouraged.

Nomination Review Process

1. Nominations may be submitted throughout the year. Complete nominations are distributed to the Walk of the Stars Committee on the first business day of each month from August through May.
2. The Committee evaluates each nomination against the approved criteria for the selected category. If additional information is needed, the sponsor may be contacted before a final decision is made. Sponsors will be notified when the review is complete and provided with any applicable next steps.
3. Approved honorees must complete all required steps and hold their star dedication ceremony within two years of the approval date.
